About Tightening Facial Skin

Age takes its toll on our bodies. That youthful vigor and energy seems to leave us and our bodies show signs that we've been around a while. Eyes lose their sparkle, weight is harder to keep off, and our skin doesn't seem to stay where it’s supposed to. This is all the work of nature, but there are also natural ways to reverse some of this aging that's taking place in your body.


Your skin is one of the first places you start to show your age. As early as your thirties you might have started to notice wrinkles around your eyes or mouth. As your age goes up, so does the number of wrinkles, and your skin just loses its elasticity and firmness.

This isn't something that you have to take laying down. There are good ways of tightening facial skin. I mean besides having someone cut into you and move your entire face upward. Doing some simple and natural face exercises can really tighten facial skin.

There are numerous programs and exercise plans targeting all the muscles in your face. They are said to make your eyes appear larger and more lively, lift the corners or your mouth and plump your lips, tighten and reduce a double chin and keep cheeks from sagging. Those are a lot of great promises! Is it true? How does it work?

By using the muscles in your face you tighten and tone them. While this might not specifically tighten facial skin per se, it does give your face the strength and tone necessary to hold everything where it belongs. So how do you tighten facial skin by exercising?

The specific exercises you use are easy to find on the Internet. Some seem to have more research done into them than others, but if you try an exercise and feel your facial muscles really working, you know it's probably a good one. You can find videos to follow along with and there are DVD programs and books that you can purchase about exercising the face, too.

At first the exercises may seem silly or unnatural, but working the muscles in your faces isn't as simple as lifting a dumbbell. You really have to move them! And guess what? When you move your facial muscles you make faces. Sometimes funny ones, but those funny faces can really work to help keep your face from sagging!

Another tool some people really like to use is special anti-aging or skin firming creams. Some of these are designed specifically for the face and are full of ingredients that are meant to help build skin cells and reduce wrinkles as well as tightening up the skin of the face. You might want to try those, too, if they sound good to you.

Work with nature. She doesn't have to take away your good looks, use nature to keep your facial skin tight naturally!
